Sip champagne together, catch up with old friends and watch the sun go down while your guests wander through our gardens. Whether you’re exchanging vows beneath open skies or within the elegance of our ceremony room, each space will feel truly yours for an unforgettable day.
The dining room can be used for a night before dinner seating up to 20 adult guests while the children run and play around the house. The homely kitchen is a great place to have breakfast or cook for the wedding party prior to the special day. The sitting room is a comfortable room that looks out across the gardens where you can relax and contemplate the day ahead. There are many options for placing a marquee in the rear or front gardens. The house offers plenty of comfortable accommodation for the wedding party.

Nestled in the beautiful Vale of Kerry near Newtown, Powys, our venue is surrounded by rolling hills and unspoilt countryside. Choose from a romantic courtyard setting, a serene woodland backdrop, or the elegance of Ashley House. With capacity for up to 100 guests, you can relax knowing everyone you love can celebrate together in the beautiful Welsh countryside. Ashley House is a peaceful hideaway where you and your guests can truly celebrate in comfort and style.

Our elegant Victoria country house offers two large reception rooms, plus our gorgeous ceremony room, spacious family kitchen, seven guest en-suite bedrooms, as well as others rooms including an office. All of our rooms are carefully designed for your comfort using furnishing and decoration inspired by Laura Ashley who was local to the area. There are four acres surrounding Ashley House for you to explore and ample car parking for up to fifty cars.
Your Stay
We have a honeymoon suite with space and facilities for the bride to prepare for her special day. your guests can stay in comfort in one of our seven elegant double rooms in the main house or share one of our four cosy cottages. The wedding party can enjoy the rest of the house including a lovely big homely kitchen and comfortable large sitting room.

Directions to Ashley House at The Forest are as follows: What3words: Locate us using these 3 words, just click here: massive.vipers.daydream Directions from Newtown: Take the A489 (Kerry Rd by Burger King traffic lights) for 3 miles and just before you enter Kerry, take the right turning sign posted The Forest into Gilfach Lane. Follow the narrow winding lane for approximately 3/4 of a mile passing a left fork and later a right fork after the bungalow; do not take either, stay on the lane. The entrance to The Forest is on the left just past the brook, the B&B itself cannot be seen from the road but it is well sign-posted on the black metal gates with white pillars. If you miss the property and end up at a brick house sign posted at the gate ‘Cefn Perfa’ then please turn back.
